Advance, NC (January 12, 2021) – On Tuesday morning, January 12, four people were injured in a truck accident that happened in Advance, North Carolina.
The accident took place at 9:30 a.m. around the intersection of US-64 and Fort Bixby Road. The accident happened when a van attempted to cross over the highway when it was struck by a tractor-trailer.
The driver of the van, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center by medical helicopter. Three other passengers in the vehicle were injured and taken to the same hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of the crash, both directions at the intersection were closed for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
