Charlotte, NC (March 25, 2021) – Before 3 p.m. on Thursday afternoon, March 25, a serious hit-and-run accident happened at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the collision took place at the intersection of East Sugar Creek Road and Purser Drive. It is believed that two vehicles collided at the intersection, with one of the vehicles immediately fleeing the scene. Police did not say if they found the responsible driver.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present in the area. One or more victims in the vehicle that remained at the scene were injured and hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked in the area for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
