Charlotte, NC (February 24, 2021) – Around 6:55 p.m. on Wednesday evening, February 24, a hit-and-run accident occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to officials, the accident took place at the intersection of Neely Glen Drive and Sledge Road. Few details have been released but at least two vehicles collided after entering the intersection, one of which immediately fled the scene. Police did not say if they caught the driver responsible for the accident as of yet.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were present at the crash site. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were hospitalized as a result of the accident. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
