Charlotte, NC (May 14, 2021) – At 6:50 p.m. on the evening of Friday, May 14, a hit-and-run accident occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to police, the accident happened at the intersection of West Boulevard and Dr. Carver Road. Two or more vehicles collided after entering the intersection at the same time. This led to extensive damages to the involved vehicles. Police confirmed that one of the drivers fled the scene but it is not known if they were later found.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
