Charlotte, NC (February 11, 2021) – At 4:41 p.m. on the afternoon of Thursday, February 11, a hit-and-run accident occurred on a roadway in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened at 6501 Albemarle Road when several vehicles collided with one another. Few details have been released but police confirmed that one of the vehicles fled the scene of the accident, leaving the other damaged vehicles behind.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to assist those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
