Charlotte, NC (April 28, 2021) – At 12:15 p.m. on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 28, a hit-and-run accident took place on a roadway in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened at 8530 Ikea Boulevard when two vehicles collided in the area. One of the vehicles immediately fled the scene without stopping, leaving behind a damaged vehicle.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
