Charlotte, NC (December 18, 2020) – Around 3:30 p.m. on the afternoon of Friday afternoon, December 18, a hit-and-run accident occurred at a Charlotte intersection.
According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of Wilkinson Boulevard and Westerly Hills Drive. Few details have been released but it is believed that one vehicle struck another and then immediately fled the scene of the crash. This led to extensive damages to the vehicle that remained at the scene.
Numerous responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized as a result of the accident. Their conditions are not yet known.
The intersection was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
