Charlotte, NC (March 2, 2021) – At 8 p.m. on Tuesday evening, March 2, a hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Albemarle Road and North Sharon Amity Road. Two vehicles collided after entering the intersection at the same time. One of the vehicles fled the scene. It is not known if the police caught up with the driver who fled.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. One or more victims in the vehicle that remained at the scene were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
