Charlotte, NC – Hit-and-Run Crash at Conference Dr and Idlewild Rd

Charlotte, NC (December 10, 2020) – Around 10:35 p.m. on the night of Wednesday night, December 9, a hit-and-run crash occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.

Charlotte officials confirmed that the crash took place at the intersection of Conference Drive and Idlewild Road when two vehicles collided with one another. One of the vehicles involved in the accident immediately fled the scene of the crash. Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those with injuries. One or more victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time until police were able to clear the scene.

No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
