Charlotte, NC (February 28, 2021) – At 11:26 p.m. on Saturday night, February 27, a hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Freedom Drive and Edgewood Road. Few details have been released but it is believed that two vehicles collided after entering the intersection at the same time. One of the vehicles fled the scene without stopping to check on the other party.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were called to the scene. One or more victims in the vehicle that remained at the scene were hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for some time.
It is not known if the police caught the driver responsible for the accident. Their investigation continues.
