Charlotte, NC (December 28, 2020) – Around 9 a.m. on Friday, December 25, one person was killed in a fatal collision in Charlotte.
According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of I-77 around the area of Arrowood Road. The accident happened between a passenger vehicle and a tractor-trailer but police have not commented on the circumstances leading up to the accident.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene while two others were injured as a result of their injuries. The parties have not yet been identified.
All lanes of the highway were closed down in the area for an extended period of time. This led to delays in the area for some time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
