Kannapolis, NC (February 18, 2021) – Around 8 a.m. on Thursday morning, February 18, a fatal crash took place at an intersection in Kannapolis.
According to the North Carolina Highway Patrol, the accident took place at the intersection of Old Salisbury-Concord Road and Brantley Road. Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision and one vehicle went off the side of the road where it flipped onto its roof. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other local responders were present at the scene of the crash. One person was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It is not known if anyone was injured as a result.
The roadway was blocked in the area until 11 a.m.
No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
