Charlotte, NC (December 12, 2020) – Around 5:55 p.m. on the evening of Friday, December 11, a car accident occurred at a Charlotte intersection.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of Albemarle Road and Central Avenue. Though few details have been released, it is believed that two or more vehicles collided after entering the intersection at the same time. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those in need. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
