Charlotte, NC (December 22, 2020) – Around 9:50 a.m. on Tuesday morning, December 22, a car accident with injuries occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident took place at the intersection of Ashley Road and Joy Street when two vehicles collided with each other. It is believed that the vehicles entered the intersection at the same time. All of the involved vehicles were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the collision. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
