Charlotte, NC (January 19, 2021) – At 12:35 a.m. on Tuesday morning, January 19, a car accident with injuries took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of Eastway Drive and Burgin Street. Few details have been released but it is believed that two vehicles collided after they entered the intersection at the same time. This led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their conditions are not known at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation continues.
