Charlotte, NC (December 20, 2020) – Around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday morning, December 20, a fire truck accident took place in Charlotte.
According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the accident took place at 5000 Sunset Road. The CFD Engine 28 was responding to a fire alarm in the area when it suddenly rolled over for reasons that are not yet known.
Four firefighters with the department were on board at the time of the accident. Three of the firefighters were injured as a result of the accident and were transported to local hospitals. They are expected to make full recoveries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
