Charlotte, NC (May 7, 2021) – At 5:40 p.m. on the evening of Friday, May 7, a hit-and-run accident occurred at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to Charlotte officials, the accident took place at the intersection of Albemarle Road and Reddman Road. Two vehicles allegedly collided after entering the intersection at the same time. Police confirmed that one of the vehicles immediately fled the scene without stopping.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were taken to the hospital for treatment, though their conditions are not yet known.
Police did not say if they caught the driver responsible for the accident.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
