Charlotte, NC (January 20, 2021) – At 5 p.m. on Wednesday evening, January 20, a hit-and-run accident took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
According to authorities, the accident happened at the intersection of Monroe Road and Conference Drive. Police confirmed that two vehicles collided in the area, one of which fled the scene of the accident. Police did not say if they found the driver responsible for the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those with injuries. One or more victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital. Their conditions are not yet known.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
