Charlotte, NC (December 3, 2020) – Around 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, December 3, a hit-and-run accident took place in Charlotte.
According to police, the collision took place at the intersection of North Sharon Amity Road and Hickory Grove Road when two vehicles collided with each other. Police confirmed that one of the vehicles fled the scene of the accident immediately following the crash. It is not known if the driver was found by police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident to assist those with injuries. The injured victims, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
