Charlotte, NC (December 27, 2020) – Around 10 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, a hit-and-run crash took place at an intersection in Charlotte.
Charlotte officials confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of Freedom Drive and Alleghany Street when two vehicles collided with each other. One of the vehicles fled the scene of the accident after it occurred. Police have not yet confirmed if they caught the driver responsible for the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident to help those who remained at the scene. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
