Midland, NC (December 5, 2020) – Around 8 a.m. on Saturday morning, December 5, a serious three-vehicle accident took place at an intersection in Midland.
According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of NC-24 and Bethel Church Road when three vehicles collided. It is believed that the vehicles entered the intersection at the same time.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to assist at the scene of the accident. Three people were pinned in their vehicles and had to be rescued by officials. One person was flown to the hospital by medical helicopter. Two others were taken to a local hospital by ambulance but their conditions are not yet known.
All lanes at the intersection were completely closed for some time while police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
