Winston-Salem, NC (December 29, 2020) – Around 8:40 p.m. on Monday night, December 28, a motorcycle crash occurred in Winston-Salem.
Police confirmed that the accident happened at the intersection of Akron Drive and Indiana Avenue when a passenger vehicle struck a motorcycle. The accident led to extensive damages to the involved motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as 48-year-old Dolan Astrop, was the only person injured as a result of the accident. He was taken to the hospital for treatment of his serious injuries.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
